*Tasting notes from Julie Dupouy – Down2Wine – Sommelier-consultant and wine educator – WSET Diploma –3rd at the 2016 World Sommelier Championship Colour : Clear, bright lemon colour with pale gold nuances.Nose : opened with aromas of apricots, violet flowers, hints of macadamia nuts and tonka beans. After aeration, more complexity comes through with nuances of orange blossom, honeysuckle and fennel. Palate : dry, smooth, ample and textural, balanced by a delicate yet precise freshness and by a saline minerality. Flavours of apricot, honeysuckle, citrus, fennel and mineral notes mingle on the mid-palate. Creamy at first, the wine tapers down and leads to sleek, mouth-watering finish that reveals notes of sea salt, lime, jasmine flowers and a twist of delicious bitterness. |
